This is what happens...

when you leave your lunch cooking unattended to blog. This left the nastiest smell in my house!

I think of myself as a pretty good cook but if there is a way to burn any kind of food, I have done it. I am a little ashamed to admit it, but after I realized how much burned nasty was stuck to the pot, I ended up just throwing it away instead of spending forever trying to clean it. However, it was not one of my good set of pots and pans just an old one from my grandpa's stuff after he passed away. I guess this counts as my first "No You Didn't Monday" post.

Help Me-Fashion Dilemma!

Ok, I need your help! This fashion dilemma is not for me of course-it's for Gracie. She is way more of a fashionista than I am :). She is having her 1 yr. old pics. taken tomorrow (wait while I wipe the tears) and I can't decide which outfit.

I splurged on these 2 outfits this week. The one with the flowers I got at Babies R Us yesterday and can I just say that I have been missing out! I have hardly had to buy her any clothes we have been blessed with so many gifts and hand me downs but I wanted her to have something new for these pics. I guess I hadn't been to Babies R Us since she was a newborn and have never really looked at their clothes selection. They have so many different brands and they are all so cute! By the way, their girls selection is about twice the size of the boys'...oh how I love having a daughter! Their prices were surprisingly a lot lower than I had expected too. Anyways, enough of the BRU plug.


They both have brown pants with them but I think this one is supposed to be capris but it will probably end up fitting more like pants. That is the hairbow that I already had that matches. It is pink and and brown sheer ribbons.



This one is also brown and that is a white hairbow to match.

She is also doing a picture in her Easter dress and basket so that is why I wanted a more casual outfit for the others.

She said it!!!

BIG NEWS: Gracie finally started saying "Mom" this weekend!!! It just melts my heart! The reason I say "finally" is that she has been saying "Dada" for about 3 months now so it is finally my turn. Sometimes she just looks at me and says it or she yells at me when she wants to get out of her crib or when she is looking around the house for me. It is just an amazing feeling to be called "Mom." If you have little ones who aren't talking yet, just wait-it is so exciting!

Yes, that's right-I FINALLY HAVE A PART TIME JOB!!! Woohoo! It had been almost 3 months since I applied for the census job and took the test but they finally called me this week after I had pretty much given up hope. I have a week of training in April that will be 8-5 and then after that the hours are pretty flexible. I'm not sure what all I will be doing yet but the guy told me that the first wave of work will be "address canvassing." Basically they give you a handheld computer and you drive around in your car and add or delete addresses out of the system. So if you see me wandering aimlessly around Mayes County I promise I am not stalking you so don't get out your shotgun or anything :)

Just A Little Reminder

I was attempting to pick up our bedroom tonight when I came across my Mother's Day card from last year. It has the sweetest little poem so I thought I would share. P.S.-get out the tissues! I bawled when I received it, but I was also about 3 wks. post-partum so ya know, I couldn't help it!

The most important job
