Happy Easter

What a difference a year makes-Easter 2008 I was VERY pregnant with Miss Gracie:

I was thinking I was further along-but my caption says 33 wks. and Easter was earlier last year so I guess that's right. I was HUGE!

Easter 2009-I missed the full body shot but you get the picture. Gracie looks really tired here.

Here she is hunting Easter eggs with her cousins:
Hopefully I can make it to Tulsa to pick up her birthday pics. and get those posted this week. We have a crazy busy week ahead getting ready for the big birthday party!

Keepin' It Real

Ok, I have been tagged a few times and I must say that I chose the WORST time to read their posts.
Keepin' It Real
Here are the real rules:Take a picture of yourself right now.No primping or preparing.Just snap a picture.Load the picture onto your blog.Tag some people to play.

So here I am at 9:15 on a Saturday morning. I have been awake since about 6:30 and just got home last night at 8:00 pm after staying at my in-law's house since last Sunday night, spent my first full work week since before Gracie came along working 40 plus hrs. at my new "part-time" job for training. My make-up is left over from last night (or maybe longer), my teeth haven't been brushed and I am wearing what I slept in last night. I am trying to keep my daughter out of all of the junk while I do this in the spare bedroom and I think she just told me "no." Lovely. I am trying to be mildly enthused about the block party at church this afternoon in the 29 degree weather.

I think almost everyone on my list has done this or been tagged so I will try to tag the people that haven't: Kayla, Anna May, and Meredith.

Why I don't have a home daycare....

When I was pregnant and told people that I would be quitting my job to be a stay at home Mom several people told me I should start a home daycare. I'm sure that I casually brushed it off as a "I'll file that away for future reference if I ever get desperate" idea but didn't think much about it. Until today, that is.

A girl that I used to work with asked me if I would be her back-up babysitter for her sweet 18 mo. old. I said sure and she asked if I could watch her this morning. I'm not gonna lie, it was hard. The morning in pictures...

She cried like this almost every time Gracie touched her. I think she was just getting really tired and unsure about being in a new place. Gracie just looked at her like, "Why are you crying?" Note that my house already looks like a daycare center!

Gracie says, "Why are you holding her and not me Mommy?" Notice the fading bruise on her forehead where she went head first into the leg of the end table this week. Good thing I used to work at DHS :)

"I want my Mommy!"

Ok, just so you think I didn't torture these poor children by whipping out the camera in their moment of despair I already had the camera handy because I had just gotten them both happy by taking their picture and showing it to them. Well, that was short-lived.

Seriously, I don't know how people do it. Gracie may be an only child if this is how it goes with your own kids too. Just kidding...I think.
