A girl that I used to work with asked me if I would be her back-up babysitter for her sweet 18 mo. old. I said sure and she asked if I could watch her this morning. I'm not gonna lie, it was hard. The morning in pictures...

She cried like this almost every time Gracie touched her. I think she was just getting really tired and unsure about being in a new place. Gracie just looked at her like, "Why are you crying?" Note that my house already looks like a daycare center!

Gracie says, "Why are you holding her and not me Mommy?" Notice the fading bruise on her forehead where she went head first into the leg of the end table this week. Good thing I used to work at DHS :)

"I want my Mommy!"
Ok, just so you think I didn't torture these poor children by whipping out the camera in their moment of despair I already had the camera handy because I had just gotten them both happy by taking their picture and showing it to them. Well, that was short-lived.
Seriously, I don't know how people do it. Gracie may be an only child if this is how it goes with your own kids too. Just kidding...I think.

I tried the babysitting route when my son was young. He hated that I had another baby in the house and he was 2! The baby cried all the time, he cried all the time, I cried a lot of the time. It just wasn't worth it.
Oh boy! I can't imagine!! I know how hard it is in the nursery at church. Ruthie Jane DOES NOT want me holding or playing with anyone but her! Home day care isn't for me either girl!
Oh my word. That looks like a crazy day! Hilarious pictures and documentary, though. :)
That's terrifying.
It's one of the real reasons I'm iffy on having baby #2...I know it wouldn't START OUT that way, but seriously.
Freaks me out just a tad.
